Marketing Insights provides data-driven insights and actionable marketing recommendations based on the latest consumer demand and activity data. You can find EAN-level recommendations in the Insights & Actions panel.
How do Insights & Actions work?
Insights are generated daily based on current consumer activity and engagement across web, social, and retail channels. Insights are specific to the EAN and are designed to highlight meaningful action items that can improve your chances for sales.
There are three types of Insights that you might see for any title:
- Opportunities: Key strengths that present good marketing and promotional activities.
- Warnings: Potential areas for improvement that may need a human eye to investigate.
- Issues: Problems or gaps that could be harming sales.
Each group is sorted by the highest priority and/or highest potential impact recommendation. They will change over time in response to your marketing efforts as well as other changes in consumer demand and title performance.
Why do I see similar Insights & Actions for many of my titles?
Publishers may see similar Insights across their catalog because there are in fact many common challenges or marketing strategies across the catalog. Many titles in a publishers list, for instance, may have similar metadata or product page formatting issues. Closely related titles (from the same author or series, or about very similar topics) may have comparable author platforms.
We update and add new Insights & Actions as we bring in new features and data. You can expect to see additional Insights (and increasingly differentiated Insights) as time goes on.
Can I dismiss an Insight if I've already done it? What if I don't want to do it?
You cannot “dismiss” or “complete” Insights & Actions at this time. If new data that suggests you have completed a recommended action, you will no longer see that particular Insight.
