The Top Movers report highlights your fastest moving titles based on the latest data from across web, retail, and social channels. See spikes in consumer demand and activity across key metrics and identify new opportunity titles faster.
Why does this matter?
These data points are the most volatile and subject to swings in consumer interest. Monitoring these changes can enable you to see and react to market shifts faster that you could by looking at sales reports alone.
Now what?
Look for new opportunities to grow your sales based on the latest consumer demand data:
- Sales rank: A large spike in the Amazon sales rank is indicative of a significant increase in sales and consumer activity for a book relative to its historical sales trends.
- Consumer price: Amazon dynamically changes prices in reaction to market changes, including consumer demand and competitive pricing.
- Goodreads member activity: Strong Goodreads member activity suggests an increased likelihood for cross-channel sales success. (In particular, Goodreads activity has been correlated with brick-and-mortar sales.)
- Author Wikipedia page views: Views of an author's Wikipedia page are highly correlated with and predictive of online book sales. If page views for an author spike, you have a high likelihood of soon seeing an increase in sales.
