As part of our CoreSource UI/UX Enhancements project, to improve the user experience of setting up titles and managing metadata in CoreSource, here are the changes to the Title Group:
- The tabs for each section have been moved to the top of the page. (attachment #1)
- The basic information tab now holds all the key metadata that is shared across the assets in this group. The Subjects have been consolidated into this tab; they were previously on a separate "Subjects" tab.
- Required field are now highlighted. (attachment #1)
- Recommended fields are now highlighted in the manner consistent with the Required fields. The blue recommended badges replace the recommended field orange text that was displayed at the top of the page. (attachment #2)
- The main subject categories - Keywords, BISAC, BIC, and Thema - have been separated out into their own sections. (attachments #2 and #3)
- Users can now add by code, instead of just description.
- In Edit mode, the user will be able to search codes and descriptions by character.
- Fields that are not used as often are now in the hide/view section. Work Identifiers can only be provided by ONIX and Attributes are customer specific. Click Show Additional fields to see these. (attachment #4)
- The Assets, History, Validation tabs have not changed.
